Please see below for useful tips when completing the Kansas-Bred Program Registration Application via the KRGC website.

Tips:

  1. Use the Kansas-Bred Program Registration Application link to download and complete the form

  2. Any foal you wish to race for Kansas Bred purse supplements should check the box "Application for Kansas-Bred Program"

  3. Any mare or stallion wishing to be eligible for breed awards should check "Application for Kansas Domiciled Program" AND "Application for Certificate of Eligibility". They need both.

    1. This MUST be done BEFORE the mare foals

    2. Or in the case of a stallion that will stand in Kansas, BEFORE the stallion breeds a mare that will ultimately have a foal that would earn him breed awards.

  4. When your race horse that was stamped "Kansas Bred" stops racing and you want to raise foals out of him/her, this horse must then be "Certified" into the breeding program.

  5. The box asking for "Foal Information" must be filled out with the name of a) your racing prospect or b) mare or c) stallion. Don't let the word "foal" confuse you when enrolling the mare or stallion's information. It is asking for the name of the horse.

  6. Ownership Section - Needs to be completed.

  7. Stallion Owner Information - This is for stallions that will stand in Kansas that intend to enroll in the breeding program. Mare owners and race prospects - ignore this box.

  8. Foal Owner Information - Needs to be completed.

  9. The backside of the form must be completed with markings as listed on the horse's registration papers, the fees you are including and signature.

  10. The original registration certificate from the breed association must be included with this application.
